Event Details

Gerald Savage (Chief White Winnebago) will teach us about the culture and history of the HoChunk Nation. He’ll share the history of his tribal territory and settlements, the impact of residential schools, and how his family was relocated to Starved Rock. Chief White Winnebago will also speak about tribal names and culture, Indigenous artifacts, and his regalia. 

Gerald Savage is an Illinois Humanities Road Scholar.
