Award-winning author Ruth Conniff shares the story of how two groups of rural people—Wisconsin dairy farmers and Mexican immigrant workers—were thrown together by global economic forces beyond their control and forged bonds and bridges of understanding. Ruth Conniff is Editor-in-chief of the Wisconsin Examiner; has written for The Nation, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Los Angeles Times; and has appeared on many national radio and television outlets.
Carroll University students will receive a convocation point for attending this presentation.
